AirView

Version 1.0
A RTSP Streaming Client
AirView is a RTSP streaming client especially build for use with surveillance cameras.

Getting Started:

After starting AirView for the first time, a dialog asks you to create a stream source manually, or the app will create several demo stream entries for you.

  • If you choose Autocreate Stream, entries for the movies Big Buck Bunny, Sintel, Elephants Dream and for the song From the Outside Looking In by Fallen to Flux will be created automatically.

  • If you choose Settings, the app will take you to the settings view, where you can start entering your own stream sources.

Settings Menu:

In the settings menu, you can find a direction to the video feeds sub-menu as well as some links to legal information and this help page.
If a default feed exists in your settings and autoplay is activated, then AirView! will try to play the content automatically at startup.
You can find also the remove ads and the restore purchase entries here (not shown).

To add a new RSTP feed you have to tap on video feeds to proceed to the next screen.

Video Feeds:

This screen shows you all the video feeds you have already added. You can delete entries by swiping from right to left. To mark the feed as default, which means will be played at startup, tap on the pin symbol on the right side of the line.
The blue orb on the left side marks your current selected default feed.

You can also edit entries by simply selecting them.
To add another feed simply tap on the + symbol in the right upper corner of the screen.

Add/Edit Video Feed:

There are now several fields on the screen; Name and Feed URL are manatory.

Name is just the name of the stream, an identifier for you.
Feed URL is the address of the stream.
Use Camera Player / Use Movie Player toggle indicates which player will be currently used. The Camera Player allows more tweaking, but currently without sound support.
Use TCP indicates if TCP is used (if off UDP will be used).
Resolution: AirView will automatically choose the streams resolution, but you can override it here.
Sync Stream: When selected, the stream will be resynced every x frames. This is useful for surveillance cameras, when your iDevice is an older and slower one.
Use Audio: Currently not enabled. Might be avialable in future versions.
Create Preview allows you to take a screenshot and saves it as a preview picture. This is also a quick test, if your settings will work. If there's no preview available it's likely that the stream wont work. So please check your settings.

To save your changes, tap on the Save Button on the upper right corner of the screen. To cancel your entries, just return back to the video feeds menu

Playing Video:

With the send button, you can share a picture of the video currently playing via email.
